Prudential Makes a Difference for Young Cancer Patients

In 2012 Prudential California Realty’s agents donated more than $21 thousand to benefit the Sunshine Kids Foundation. “It’s gratifying to know that our contributions are making a direct impact on the quality of life of young cancer patients,” said Leeann Iacino, COO of Prudential California Realty.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation gives children receiving cancer treatments the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities and events, in both their communities and across the nation. With a substantial amount of funds originating from the agents at Prudential, the foundation is able to offer its services at no cost to the children or their families.

“I am always proud to hear about the total number of donations the Sunshine Kids received from our agents,” said David M. Cabot, CEO of Prudential California Realty. “Their generosity and compassion gives these children a chance to get their minds off things and just be kids.”

Along with the contributions to the Sunshine Kids Foundation, which are made on an ongoing basis as well as through a variety of fundraising efforts and charitable events, Prudential’s agents consistently volunteer their time and effort to serve The Charitable Foundation. The charity is officially known as Prudential’s The Charitable Foundation/Agent Community Outreach organization. Since its inception it has provided over 1000 grants, in excess of $4 million, to support local organizations that promote health, education, community, and the environment.
